Skógafoss I

About the artwork

The best thing about summer in Iceland is that it stays light for so many hours of the day. During our camping trip we'd head to the more known locations sometimes around 7 or 8pm once all the tourist trucks had rolled out (or around 5am before they arrived). I clambered up the side of the waterfall with frozen fingers to get this shot. The grass was soaked through from water spray and I nearly stacked it in the mud. Worth it for this opportune moment with a passing seagull.
